This Is Our Story
Golden Sunset is offering this hide away called "Dirk se Huisie". A cottage, the late Dirk Blanckenberg used to live in while working on the farm. Originally only a room with a kitchen - it was always lovingly referred to as "Dirk se Huisie".
In honour of Dirk, we decided to keep the name.

Price per night: R 400 per adult R 250 per child (ages 2 - 12 yrs)
minimum stay - 2 nights
The cosy cottage has two bedrooms; the main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has two bunk beds. The bathroom has a large shower and there is an additional outdoor shower (only cold water). No Smoking in Rooms

We are home to the allusive Cordylus
cataphractus - Armadillo Lizards and boast some of the areas most beautiful scenery and natural fauna & flora.
Hiking Trail
Our hiking trail is with in easy reach of your accommodation, and will take you on a 4,25km loop with an elevation of approximately 146m

A truly beautiful and serene place - we enjoyed every moment of our stay. Surrounded by different colours of Earth's green, her calming waters, warm sun, fierce rain and rocky mountains. We were able to reflect on what is truly important in life and share special moments that brought us closer in our relationship.

Thank you so much for the wonderful stay. My mother and I had a lovely relaxing time away from the big city life. We loved the new hike!!!
Enjoyed swimming in the dam and hanging out with the water turtles and listening to the frogs go on for hours.
